TE Transfer
Outside the PCA
Teaching Elders seeking transfer into the KSWOC Presbytery from outside the PCA are required to follow BCO 13-6 and 21-4. They also, in accordance with BCO 21-1, “ordinarily shall not move on to the field” to which they are called until they have “been examined and received by Presbytery.”

Please send the following to the Stated Clerk:
A) Proof of good standing in your current denomination.
B) An official, signed copy of your new call. This call should be formatted with the correct language from the BCO (Appendix J) and include details regarding yearly vacation and study leave, in addition to salary and benefits being offered.

Position Papers and Exams
A) Position Papers: Soteriology, Trinity, Scriptures, Sacraments, and Millennium. Please write two pages for your personal belief/view on each topic. Position papers need to be submitted when the Presbytery application is submitted.
B) Written Exams: Bible Contents, Church History, Greek and Hebrew, Systematic Theology, Sacraments, Exegetical Paper, Theological Paper, Sermon, PCA BCO, and Oral Exam

When you meet with the Exam Committee:
In accordance with BCO 13-6 and 21-4, you will be examined in the area mentioned above in the Written Exams.
We may choose to act as a commission and finalize your transfer at the KSWOC Presbytery meeting or to refer you to the next Presbytery meeting, depending on whether we have all of your paperwork or not.
